–The GAO (Government Accountability Office) will conduct a study on changes to Medicare and advise Congress, not later than July 1, 2015.
–The CMS Director is to develop and evaluate strategies for quality improvement in the delivery of health care that represent best practices in quality, safety, and value. He should be held accountable to implement a model to pursue such research in a collaborative manner with other related Federal agencies. Any research findings should be shared with the Office of the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology.
